Default Moving to new site different server & database name

I have looked for an answer to this problem in vain
I am looking to mirror my database on my wife's site -
which is on a different server with a different name and different password for the database.
I have made a back-up but when I do the restore to the new site I get a message:
MySQL said: Documentation #1044 - Access denied for user 'cad'@'%' to database 'clonecop_clonecart'
    Thanx in advance

You have to edit admin/includes/configure.php and includes/configure.php.

    This tutorial should help http://tutorials.zen-cart.com/index.php?article=99

Thinking about this some more... if you uploaded your database, the password, user and (possibly) the database name are different. Check the configure files I mentioned earlier.

Yup, database name and password are different - should I simply change database on wife's site to match the details on my database on my site = the sites are on different servers

It's not clear to me what you're trying to do. Is your wife also running ZC on her site? If you edit the configuration files I mentioned earlier to match the information of your wife's database, it should solve the problem. If that information is already correct, there's a mismatch between the information and the data in the database because of the copy. You'll have to put the 2 in sync. Find out the name of the database, the user and the ID and adjust the configuration files accordingly.
