    Default host company upgraded ><

    Hello

My Hosting company has just decided to upgrade their servers:

    > PHP will be upgraded from 4.x to 5.2.x
    > mySQL will be upgraded from 4.x to 5.0.x
    > Apache (HTTP server) will be upgraded from 1.3.x to 2.2.x

and now my site doesnt work, apparently the servers cant go back... and i get errors.

When customers try to view my site:

1054 Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause' but only when you drill down to a product.

And when I try to log in to the admin side...

Fatal error: Call to a member function Execute() on a non-object in /home/vince/public_html/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 72

My zencart is just 1.2.6 (dont shout at me for not upgrading... i dont get paid and dont have time ><)

Im clueless how to sort this, and I dont even know where to begin... any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The site: www.topmanservices.co.uk (index.php has been renamed to index2.php to make way for a "maintenance page".

    Thanks in advance
    Liam

Without upgrading your only option is to see if there exists sufficient patches to make this version compatible with the new server versions. And you will need to look into the archives for these if they exist

Would be faster and easier to just upgrade.

Otherwise, be ready for a whole mess of problems.

This will probably take 10 times longer than upgrading...

I see you DO have a "custom" template set up on your ZC webshop. Over the years, did you follow the override principle? If so, upgrading should not be too much of a nightmare.

Template will be the major issue as 1.2x was table based versus the div base of the 1.3.x series

Your hosting is very irresponsible to upgrade without giving options. Most hosting allow php4 to be used as an option, same for mysql database.

Anyhow, quickest way may be to go ahead and recode the template for 1.3.8, patching things right now can create a whole mess. You will also have to upgrade all your modules to the latest version to work with 1.3.8 btw.
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

Or actually gave 5 1/2 months notice that the upgrades were happening and how it would affect the most popular aplications
