I have a shop selling individual beads (www.mangobeads.co.uk ).
The stock is always only 1 unit and can not be reproduced.
My problem is that when two customers add the same item to their cart and check out at roughly the same time, both orders are processed leaving the stock level set at -1.

This has happened on several occasions now and has caused me to stop adding new product to my store incase it happens again.

Configuration - Stock is set to :

Check stock level true
Subtract stock true
Allow Checkout false

I have tried reducing the time setting on :

Configuration - My Store
Admin Set max_execution_time for processes to 1

all with no effect.

Is there a setting I have missed?
Is there a code hack I can add to orders.php to stop multiple checkouts of the same product?
