Strange Files in /Cache Folder

A couple of days ago, I checked my /cache folder to find over 70,000 .txt files in there.

I don't know what's generating them but I deleted them all and uninstalled a cache mod that I thought was causing it, just to discover that they're still building up.

The file names are query_selects__1240137624.txt etc., plus query_selects_popup_image_additional_1240138320.txt etc., and they accumulate at a really fast rate (2,000 new files every few hours).

It takes ages to delete them and they take up a lot of space in the cache folder.

Does anyone know what's causing these weird files to accumulate?

ahhhhh... think I may have figured this out:

configuration/logging/store database querys was set to true!
