Email Error: The following From address failed

Greetings. I have had no problems with Zen Cart in anyway other than trying to get e-mail to work. I have searched through every FAQ and Thread and I can find and I can't seem to find anything that works. I continue to get the EMAIL ERROR: The following from address failed, whether I'm using the Send Email Function from under the Admin>Tools>Send Email or I try to send any e-mail through the contact us on the website. I am using Zencart 1.3.8a. I am hosting on a windows based server through Go Daddy. The email I am using (webmaster@smokesdogtreats.com) work fine through Microsoft Outlook, their web based email, but I can not get the settings right with ZenCart even using the same ones. Any help would be appreciated, my settings are listed below. I have tried about every combination of changing E-Mail Transport Method, Send From Known Domain?, etc . . Has anyone else had any luck setting this up . . .

When you're getting a message that says "the FROM address failed", that means that the mailserver (which is receiving the request to send a message) is rejecting the email address specified as the FROM address.
It could be that the mailserver is configured to reject messages being initiated by the same computer as the mailserver/webserver is on, since often hacker-type email-spam scripts are run from webservers, and thus it's thinking that maybe you're actually spam. If that's the case, you'll need to work with whoever manages your actual mailserver to find a way to whitelist your webserver so it will allow it to send using your specified FROM address.

Regardless the method, you're going to have to work with whoever manages the actual server's mail software to find out the exact reason for it doing the rejecting. You and I can only guess, but the person who manages the server should be able to tell you specific reasons since they should be recorded in the server's logs.

I had to use sendmail. I had SMTP checked since the settings were outlined on my server cPanel. Called my host and they told me to change it. Works without a glitch (except my shared ip is blocked from sending to hotmail)
