Using swf in the main page.

I am sorry to give you one link to view that is not my site. They used one swf at the middle of the site, may be it is the position of (breadcrumb) but I am not sure. I able to insert swf at the header position with the help of one tutorial find here, but how can I use another swf in that position.
Can anyone give me any idea how can I do this.

you can do that via Define pages editor ..
look for define_main_page.php , this is where you can add text , etc to main page index.

define pages are located in admin
Tools / define pages editor .

I can add text but how can I add one swf there? Can you explain you something more please.

No I think it is not the way to insert swf at the main page through define page editor through admin. There must be something else which I do not know, CAN somebody else give some light on this.

It can accept most Html codes as far as I understand, I've managed to once add an SSL seal before. I believe that's what he meant by using the define page editor. You would probably place the .swf file somewhere (probably in your store's folder somewhere) and then make a link to it like you would on a webpage.

I placed one swf at the classic green image folder and its name is one.swf and later insert the same in a table of width 200 at dreamweaver. Saved and tested worked fine. Now I copy the code from the Dremweaver and pasted the same in the define_main_page.php using the admin panel.( define page editor) Here is the code copied from Dreamweaver

OH! There is a white box with this dimension. Width =200 and height =200.

Can anybody tell me what is the procedure to insert the swf in the main page. I think I made some mistake.

Try placing swf in root folder and alter swf code to reflect this..

Thank you Misty for your reply. I am not sure whether I can do it or not.
You told me to put the swf in the root folder. My ignorance and little knowledge could not figure it properly. Say I have a Custom Folder. Do I have to put the swf in that folder directly? I did so with no result. What I did : Opened dreamweaver and import the swf in a table of the same size of the swf and copied the code and pasted at the define_main_page.php? Is this procedure OK?

May be something is missing. However thank you for your mail once again. Visited you link.

swf should not be in that folder but main zencart folder.
I dont use dreamweaver with zencart, and using wamp on localhost with swf can complicate coding.
As do not have url of an actual site, regret cannot advise further...

I got the idea of inserting one swf from another site. What I want is here: In the main page that describes “Have you got yours yet”? ……………………….”

I am trying to insert one swf here and as I am in a learning process I am trying it on my local server first and if I succeed then I will upload it to the server as I am afraid of making some great mistakes there as I have very little knowledge and do not take the risk of doing all these things on the server.
