background color??

I would like to change the light blue background on either side of my page so I went into stylesheet.css and adjusted the overall background color by setting the body tag as follows:

body {
margin: 0;
font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 62.5%;
color: #000000;
background-color: #347235;
}

Unless I'm mistaken it should have turned to a green background..... BUT it didn't......is there another place that could be overriding me?

Where did you upload the changed stylesheet too? It should be in your template override.

Guilty as charged....I put it in the "includes/templates/classic/css" folder.... I tried "includes/templates/classic/css/custom" folder but it didn't seem to work there either.....in fact it completely blows up the page formatting and literally scatters page elements all over the screen......In fact....even if I put the original stylesheet.css in the custom folder it blows the page up.........

Any thoughts....I must be missing SOMETHING here.....

When I put the stylesheet in my 'custom' folder I'm thinking zen doesn't read it......am I supposed to put a path in another place for it to follow to my 'custom' folder?
