    Default Sale Maker and Attributes

I'm working with a store that sells rubber stamps mounted and unmounted. Unmounted sells for half price and is an attribute.

So we're having a sale, 40% off in one category. In the sale maker I create a 40% off item, using the "Ignore Specials Price.." rule. This rule seems to work best - I've tried all three.

First item sells for $15.50, on sale for $9.30 (no problems so far). The attribute deduction is (-$4.63), that's half the sale price, so good-to-go there.

If you check the attribute box then add the item to the cart, it lists as $1.55 ('DOH!!!)

My question is, where'd that come from and what's happening?

    Thanks all!
    Pete

How do you have your attribute configured for the price?

    Okay Linda, here we go.

In the AC (Attributes Controler, sounds more NASA that way) I have, here are the highlights.

    Price: 0.0000
    Price Factor Offset: .5000 / 1.0000
    Order: 0
    One Time: 0.0000

    Flags:
Attribute is Free when Product is Free: yes
Apply Discounts Used by Product Special/Sale: Yes
Include Base Price when Priced by Attribute: No

    Thanks for your help!

So you have the Product set up as:
    Product Price: 15.50
    Priced by Attribute: NO

    And the Attribute setup as:
    Price Factor: .5000
    Offset: 1.000

    Is this correct?

Price Factor and Sale Maker do not work well together at this time ...

For now you may need to set the price to the attribute so it can be adjusted by the sale and you will probably need to set the type of deduction in SaleMaker to:
Apply SaleDeduction to Specials Price - Otherwise Apply to Price

I understand. The sale maker works well for us as long as there are no Attributes using the price factor.

    Thanks for the insight!
