Product Descriptions missing

Hi folks.
Anyone have an idea on how to get product descriptions to show?
I can get the product ID and image.... but not the description.

Beside each image the description should show. It used to on the old site (created by someone else) but not on this. I had to upgrade after getting hacked (and figure out what the hell he had done when installing the original site) and sort of rebuild alot of it.

What value, (if any) have you applied to:

ADMIN>>>CONFIGURATION>>>PRODUCT LISTING...

"Display Product Description"

?

The "Display product description" is set to 1. Have been through every option I can find, but having no success in getting them to show. I'm losing my hair way to fast to risk pulling it out!

Instead of a value of "1", try using a value of "100"

I only get an option of 0 or 1.

The edit frame says:

Display Product Description
Please make any necessary changes

Display Product Description
Do you want to display the Product Description?

0= OFF
150= Suggested Length, or enter the maximum number of characters to display

... So I'm confused about you only having 0 or 1 as options...

Sorry, was looking in the wrong area. Also, whoever made the site originally called things differently. I have the descriptions working now. (He called them "product name") frustrating.
Now, maybe you could help me on one more thing. I need to swap the description/name coloumns with the price/buy now. any ideas?
