Emergency - SaleMaker is not working

Hi,

I can't get the SaleMaker to make any discounts at all. If I go to admin it shows on the product category the discount like this:
16 Folder "Towels" 0.50 Percent 27 of 41 active Status - Enabled 0 Edit Delete MoveMeta Tags Undefined

But if I click the folder open, I do not see any track of Specials or Discounts visible on the product list or in an individual products.
I have put with a SaleMaker two product categories on 50% sale for the July (starting from 30th of June) and I have tested different options for the place of
"If a product is a Special:" but that didn't help either and actually these products have only normal price previously and only some of them has attributes (mostly no attributes).

I also corrected the "known bug" but that didn't bring any solution for the matter:
"Problem: Sales made with Salemaker having trouble on some sales with Linked Products ...

Solution: update the code on the following files..."

I should really get the sales working for July!

Are you using Linked Products?

Do your Products use Priced by Attribute?

What categories_id is the Sale set for?

What is the master_categories_id for the Products?

Are you using Linked Products? No, not in these categories.

Do your Products use Priced by Attribute? NO.

What categories_id is the Sale set for? id 15 and 16

What is the master_categories_id for the Products? I have been searching where to look this master category id but didn't find how I can know it.

Edit the Product and it will say who the Master Categories ID is right at the top ... if the Product is Linked, there will be a dropdown with the master_categories_id selected ...

No linked ones in my quick check but the ones that I looked (inside categories 15 & 16) had actually
Product Master Category: ID# 0

I do not know how it ended up like that. So, this should be somehow fixed now and put the respective categories like 15 & 16?

All Products have in the products table a master_categories_id ... if it is set to 0 then it cannot work properly with Sale Maker ...

Check the table:
products_to_categories

and see how many records the products_id with the master_categories_id set to 0 have ...

If you are not using Linked Products there should be 1 record with the categories_id set to the proper categories_id that they belong to and this should be the value for the master_categories_id ...

If you do not use Linked Products anywhere in your shop, this can be fixed in the Tools ... Store Manager ... by running the Update on the Master Categories ID ... and then running the Update on the Products Price Sorter ...

I haven't tried yet anything because I realised that another person who has updated the shop with EP mass update has managed to make there products under one category (not the ones we are speaking about though) while there are also subcategories under the same category. So, I'm cleaning first all these direct products away, leaving only subcategories. I've read earlier in the forum that this situation can make issues as well.

Then I will look the master categories but I can't use the Store Manager since there are some other subcategories (not the ones that I'm putting in Sale) that are linked to each others.

So, I opened the table "products" and changed from there manually in the database (using phpMyadmin) all the needed master_categories_id that were "0" and they should have been either "15" or "16".

Then still some discounts didn't come visible and those I corrected by realising that the price fork for the discount should be from tax free price. So, we had written there 5.50 that is the minimum but it is our price with taxes. I put there 4.50 now and now all the products with price 5.50 gets discounted as well.

Can I get the products that I put on special price via SaleMaker to the listing of Specials some how?
That is where people are looking the special pricing.
So the products are discounted now but only in their own categories listed, not in Specials. Is it in this way the SaleMaker should really work?

At this time, there is nothing built into Zen Cart to pull all of the Products put on Sale with Sale Maker ...

If you design something like this, it would make a nice contribution ...
