cURL help!

Im using zencart 1.3.8 and im trying to install on windows xp. I followed the directions on the unloading onto ftp server and everything was fine., Once i ran the installation right off the bat it gives me a couple errors. Im a total newbie so i was wondering if some one had any suggestions. The errors im guessing are:

CURL SSL Capability = CURL requires SSL support. Please notify webmaster or hosting company. 1 => Protocol https not supported or disabled in libcurl
CURL NON-SSL Capability via Proxy = CURL problems detected: 7 => couldn't connect to host
CURL SSL Capability via Proxy = CURL requires SSL support. Please notify webmaster or hosting company. 1 => Protocol https not supported or disabled in libcurl

I emailed my host but they have not gotten back to me in a couple days.
So if any1 has any suggestions please help?

That's something your hosting company will have to fix for you.
Once they fix the SSL support in CURL, the "proxy" messages will go away (they only occur if a normal curl check fails).
