Need shipping help, 3 fixed amounts for each item.

Ok here is my issue (my clients issue).

They do not want to use UPS because they screw you over here in Canada. What he wants is when he adds a product, there are 3 options for shipping, Canada/US/International. He is willing to enter a different price in each box no problem but won't leave it up to UPS to get the shipping charges. Is there an app that I can install to allow different shipping rates for each product?

If you were to enter in the products_weight field: 2

and then set up the US to be:
1 x 2

and then set up Canda to be:
1.25 x 2

and then set up The Rest of the World to be:
1.75 x 2

where 1, 1.25 and 1.75 were "shipping units" ... would that work?

The Per Unit perweightunit is designed for this type of shipping cost where it can be cloned for each Zone and have a Unit Rate set ... so if the shipping rates were proportional, this should work ...

NOTE: in Shipping/Packaging the Maximum Weight needs to be set to 5000 or higher and the Tare amounts to 0:0 ...

I am trying to understand what you are saying but I don't think I can wrap my head around what you mean...

Do I set a zone price first? I am sorry I am a bit lost about what you are trying to help me with. When you said setting weight units to 2 where did you get the 1, 1.25, 1.75 from?

Remember each product will have 3 amounts for shipping depending where you are ordering from.

The Per Unit perweightunit shipping module takes the:
(products_weight * quantity ordered) * Unit Rate

to create the shipping charge for the product ...

If the Unit Rate for the 3 zones were proportional, US being 1, Canada being 1.25 and the Rest of the World being 1.75 ... as an example, then a Product with Product Weight of 3 would be:

Quantity 1
US = (3 * 1) * 1 = $3.00
Canada: (3 * 1) * 1.25 = $3.75
World: (3 * 1) * 1.75 = $5.25

Quantity 2
US = (3 * 2) * 1 = $6.00
Canada: (3 * 2) * 1.25 = $7.50
World: (3 * 2) * 1.75 = $10.50

This can be accomplished by cloning the Per Unit perweightunit shipping module for the 3 zones and then setting the weight on the products to be the shipping cost to the US for each product ...
