    Okay - we had PayPal Express Installed but still cannot get order confirmations. The customer enters their CC info on the Zen Cart site, PayPal charges the card but no Order Confirmation is generated. We have another post regarding this issue under General Questions. I will delete it and continue questtions in this more appropriate forum.

    Default No confirmations - email address matching?

    I am able to processess CC payment using PP Pro setup but getting no order confirmation (server 500 error). Does Zen Cart email address need to match the PayPal primary account email address?

    Second - where do I go to learn how to enable and view the error log files?

    We finally are getting an order confirmation.

    Not sure why but we did not have the Configuration SMTP Email Account properly configured. Would that cause a 500 server error on the checkout_process page?

    Had SMPT Email address improperly configured - think this may have been causing the Order Confirmation failure.

    Default Direct https:// access causes 500 server error

    I have been running payment tests going directly to my website's secure server address:

    https://shop.mywebsite.com

    and get a 500 server error after the order is placed and submitted for confirmation. Using PayPal Pro, CC gets charged then the failure.

    IF I go http://shop.mywebsite.com - everything runs smoothly, get order confirmation (not yet getting an email to the customer yet) but at least the order processes fully.

    Any explanation (other that we are using Godaddy.com for hosting?)

    we got it working - we were testing going directly to our https:// address and getting a 500 server error. When we wnet to the http:// address the order confirmation generated. Looking into that issue in another post

    Finally we are logging sales and emailing confirmations. Many careless install issues for PayPal Website Pro Payment caused problems.

    1) did not have correct SMTP port set - suggest before runiing any sales tests make sure your Contact Us page is working, that way you will know if Zen can send any email. We think we got a blank page after processing because we had no email addresses configured.

    2) did not have both cURL Status OFF and cURL proxy blank.
    3) did not have email address options properly setup
    4) was making sales tests directly from https:// instead of http:// - only http:// is wokring, do not know why https:// in not.
    5) In the payments module had both Website Standard (IPN) and Website Payments Pro enable which appears to have caused Payments Pro to fail.

    Thank you to the forum for help, we sure got none from Godaddy or PayPal.
