Cannot create new coupons - was working, now it isn't

I searched but could not find anyone with this same problem. When attempting to set-up a new coupon, the system will allow me to enter all the information, but when I click "preview" I am taken back to the admin panel home page. The coupon is NOT created.

I have tried removing the module and then reinstalling (saw that suggestion on another post), but that did not work.

Up til now, it had been working fine.

I also noticed that when I tried to set-up a new admin profile (using the admin settings module), the same thing happened. I was allowed to enter all the information but when I clicked "save" I was taken to the admin panel home page and the new profile was not created.

This is zen cart version 1.3.8a on a linux server, fresh install Oct/08; PHP 5.2.9.

Both of these features had been working fine with no problems. All of a sudden, they are not working anymore.

Anything anyone can share to help resolve this is appreciated.

Okay, I have looked deeper into this problem by testing other things and now see that zen cart is not saving ANYTHING.

I attempted to make a change in wording on an E-Z Page but that change was not saved.

Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

Could you re-download the Security Patch for 0609 and re-install it ...

There was a change made that perhaps you do not have ... see if reinstalling a clean download of security_patch_v138_20090619.zip helps ...

I am having this same problem. I have tried to reinstall the security patch and it did not resolve the issue. Any suggestions would be most appreciated

The problem for me was in my html_output.html file. once i uploaded the defualt html file all was solved and am able to create new coupons.

Try comparing the new html_output.php with your existing /admin/includes/functions/html_output.php file and see if you have additional customization in it that might have been made previously and the you can manually add the new code to it and reload it to your site ...

Be sure to use a good TEXT editor and not your Control Panel or a wordprocessor such as MS Word ...
