prevent the same homepage text from showing on category pages?

Hi,

How do you prevent the same homepage text (below all the product categories) from appearing on the other pages?

For instance...

The main text below the product categories (describing the benefits of ergo products) is on this page:

http://209.67.53.167/~mbalo13/

As well as the category pages, such as this one:

http://209.67.53.167/~mbalo13/adjust...bles-c-23.html

Any idea what's causing this?

Looks like you have hard-coded this page as a link into the footer.

I tried that, but the homepage text still shows up on the category pages. Do you know what what page controls this info?

Are you aware of anyone (in the past) doing hard-code edits to your files? The only way this url could get into the code is if someone hard-coded it, so you'll need to find out what file(s) it was hard-coded into.

It is likely to be a header.php file of some kind... maybe even tpl_header.php EDIT... (not necessarily in this case! sorry...)

Go to your zenshop admin console.

Go to TOOLS>>>DEVELOPERS TOOL KIT

Then, in the final input field, type: http://209.67.53.167

From the dropdown "All Files Look-ups" select catalog/admin

Click "SEARCH"...

The results will tell you exactly where your url has been hardcoded...

Thanks for your help again. Actually, I think we're talking about two different things...I'm trying to prevent the text on the homepage (just below the products listed in the content area) from being duplicated on the category pages and other page, too. Here are a couple screen shots of what I'm talking about...

See, the circled text is somehow replicated on category pages, as well as others. How do I prevent so it just shows up on the home page?

Yeah, I'm still having the same problem. Dang. This is odd. Duplicate content is not good, especially for the search engines.

Fixed.

Here's what I did...

I just copied tpl_index_default.php from the template default folder and replaced the old one, and biggity bam, it worked. Now no more duplicate content. Yayyyy me!
