    Default Stupid Newbie Question

I'm sure there's an obvious answer to this, but I've tried just about everything I can think of. I made several changes to my site in a short period of time, most of them having to do with safer security (installing patches and changing admin and whatnot)Somehow in the midst of all of it, I messed up my /includes/languages/english/html_includes folder as none of those files will publish.

When I do try to publish, I get this message for each php file:
An FTP error occurred - cannot put define_site_map.php. Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem. Make sure you have proper authorization on the server and the server is properly configured.
The php files are in my FTP and in my web hosting account. When I try to use the Define Pages Editor to get to any of those pages, I get this error:
    File does not exist: /shop/includes/languages/english/html_includes/define_page_4.php
I've tried to replace the current phps with files that I had backed up this morning, but it still does the same thing. I know this is probably so simple as modifying the contents of a php file slightly or something like that, but nothing I've tried is working.

Yep, it was a chmod error. I had the files set to read only, and when I reset them everything worked just fine.

A subtle reminder, after editing remember to reset your permissions.

I say that from experience - the one site I forgot to reset permissions on after editing was hacked.
