upgrade problems

Hi everyone, I upgraded my store last night and now I can't get the header.php and the meta_tags.php to over write what is there... I'm trying to remove the zen cart logo on my header and I'm trying to add my meta tags I'm about ready to pull my hair out...

You've not told us from what version you have upgraded.

Is it possible that you are trying to change the core files, but they are being over-riden by files in the relevant classic directories?

I've updated to version 1.3.8 I only installed zen cart a couple of months ago so I'm sure I just updated from the previous version.

I'm uploading the files to includes/languages/english

Is there some where else I should be updating them to? I'm really new to zen cart and any advice would be appreciated.

If you are using a Custom Template then the Meta Tags are changed in this file:

includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/meta_tags.php

Copy the one from the english dir. if you haven't already done so.

I made a new directory in includes/languages/english named it custom (for the custom theme I'm using) and added the meta_tags.php file but still not working

any more ideas?

The above is what is shown in the 'meta_tags.php' file for Zen Cart v1.3.8a. If your file does not show the same then you need to download v1.3.8a and use that one.
