Items $4 or 3 for $10

I sell handmade bath and body products and I have a question.

I sell my soap bars for $4 each or 3 bars for $10, is there a way to set that up in Zen Cart? All of the bar soaps are under the same category of Bar Soaps and then under 2 sub categories, 100% natural and Scented.

You can set this up using quantity discounts.

ie: 1 - 2 = $4.00ea, 3 - 5 = $3.33 each etc...

Ok, I found it. so, if I put in

Discount 1) 1-2 with $0 discount
Discount 2) 3 with $2.00 discount
Discount 3) 4-5 with $0 discount
Discount 4) 6 with $2.00 discount

Would this work?

I believe you can continue adding discount levels 5 at a time. But you don't need to use all of them.

If you have 7 discount levels, add 5 more and leave the last three blank.

At least thats how I recall it works.

There is also a add-on mod that may be a little more flexible here:

I haven't used that mod so I can't say about how it works, but the author is someone I'd trust to write good stuff.

Not to divert the thread, but thank you for nice comment. That sidebox offers several levels of discount. Once you qualify for the 5%, it promps you to add two more to get 10% and then on and on.

It's custom I make for that site, but I'll look and see if it is easy enough to make as a module. But it may not be as flexible as you hope.
