UPS charges based on size?

Is there any way to get UPS charges based on size and weight. All our packaging is odd sizes, and UPS calculations are way too low based on just weight.

I searched this site, but found no answers. Anyone else with this problem that can tell me how you get around this.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Could someone at least let me know it there is a work around for package sizes with UPS, or just say "no, zencart does not have a way to calculate UPS shipping based on weight and package sizes and there is no way to work around it" ?

If you want to calculate based on height+width+length, you'll need to customize your site to track the package dimensions, and then edit the UPS module to transmit those dimensions when asking for shipping quotes.
It's not a built-in feature in the v1.3.x version of Zen Cart. But you'll be able to store package dimensions in v2.0.0.

I am having the same problem. any instructions on how to do this customization? Or do we have to wait? Have you come up with a way to make up for this, maybe increase the weight or something?
