Display Specials Price for Each Attribute

Hello. Couldn't find this question in the forum...

When applying a specials price to an item (in my case, one priced by attributes), is it possible to show the original AND discounted price among the attributes listings? Currently, it seems the specials price displays only on the main product (where the original price, which is really the lowest priced attribute, is crossed out, and a specials price is displayed along with the amount off). In the attributes section, the attributes ARE discounted, but the displayed price for each is only the price AFTER the special.

Is it possible to show the original and the specials price for the attributes so customers can see that they are getting a special? If they don't know all the original attribute prices (and who has memorized all these for a site?), they can't know they're getting a special price for each attribute.

You would have to do some customization to the:
/includes/modules/attributes.php

this is not built into Zen Cart at this time ...

OK, I'm not making any progress. Copy and paste skills only go so far...

Can anyone please suggest a line of code (and the insertion location into the above file) to display the original attribute price with a strikethrough that displays next to the discounted attribute price? In other words, when a special is applied to a product that is priced by attributes, I want the customer to see the original and the new price for each attribute. Otherwise, products priced by attributes show only the new price, and a customer doesn't know whether or not he/she is saving anything.
