Default Newbie - Installing local copy of existing site

    Hi,

I am new to Zen Cart, and am currently trying to set up a local install of an exisitng site. I have installed a copy of the source in my web server, set up the DB, and updated includes/configure.php. When I load the main store page, it comes up blank and I am slowly working throught the code to try and find out what is missing.

I can't find any info on setting up existing sites on another machine, is there a checklist or any instructions anywhere, or can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance!

Oh dear, I must be blind, or just stupid! I have just noticed the sticky at the top of this board about getting blank pages, I shall give it a go.

    Please ignore me!

So, I followed the instructions, and have a log with the following error.

[18-Aug-2009 14:21:35] PHP Fatal error: Class 'notifier' not found in C:\xampp\htdocs\NewAngel\store\includes\autoload_func.php on line 80

Not sure how or why since I am simpy using a copy of a functioning site. Is there anything environmental to look at?

ZC will not run under php 5.3

You must use XAMPP 1.7.1 to get php 5.2.9

    XAMPP files on sourceforge.net

That makes no difference unfortunately - the same error exists!

I'm of the impression that the error is due to the class autoloading function not working - is there somewhere where the default location for classes is located?

Have you loaded DrBytes DeBug Utility?
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84613

Also ZC comes with a system check utility 'techsupp.php' you will find it under the zc_install folder. Running this will also give you some more info.

Yes the utility is what is giving me the class loading error mentioed above.

Not tried the other one though, will give it a go, but fairly convinced its because the system is looking in the wrong place for class files.
