Default SSL installed after zen, get error message for customer login

    Hi,

I have moved my zen store from one domain/hosting to another and then found I didn't have SSL, so have got that installed for me. I have followed the instructions for enabling SSL but when I go to login as a customer it comes up with an error. I have managed the admin side ok so what could I have missed?

    I am running version 1.3.7

    Be sure to check both:
    /includes/configure.php
    /admin/includes/configure.php

files that are on the server and ensure they have the same paths for the secure and that they are enabled ...

Make sure after uploading your changes that the files, on the server, are actually changed ...

    Thanks Linda,

I have checked all that, the only thing I can think is that it is a shared SSL but didn't think it would be if I had to buy it separately? My host says it needed a dedicated IP address, does this have any bearing on my problem?

To use an secure certificate you need your own IP address ...

You hosting provider should be able to give you an IP of your own and help get the secure certificate that you bought working ...

Thank you again Linda. I have contacted my host but all they are saying is what I have already checked. I have both secure addresses set to https://www.partysprite.co.uk in both admin/includes and includes configure.php files, and the admin side is working fine, but when I set enable ssl in the customer side (includes/configure.php) and try to login as a customer it is saying there is an internal server error. I will ask them again to check everything.

I've worked it out, it was a SEO module I had installed, since I have gone from a shared SSL to a dedicated SSL that has caused a problem, now it is deactivated the login works. So now I only have to get the module working again.

Thanks for the update that the SEO was causing the issues with the secure URLs ...
