    Default php scripts?

I am getting hundreds of messages into my error log like this.

    [Tue Aug 25 13:11:00 2009] [info] Executing "/home/user/public_html/admin/index.php" as UID 32177, GID 32179
    [Tue Aug 25 13:10:59 2009] [info] Executing "/home/user/public_html/admin/login.php" as UID 32177, GID 32179
    [Tue Aug 25 13:10:54 2009] [info] Executing "/home/user/public_html/admin/login.php" as UID 32177, GID 32179
    [Tue Aug 25 13:09:54 2009] [info] Executing "/home/user/public_html/index.php" as UID 32177, GID 32179

I contacted my hosting company and they replied

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica] Upon investigating this further, I found that the UID and GID cited in the message belong to the "you" user. Given the fact that the server is running suphp, PHP scripts will be executed as your user. If one of your scripts calls the primary index.php, it would indeed result in this message being displayed. The messages can safely be ignored and are not an indication of an attack. [/FONT]

These messages are coming constantly, is there any way I can stop this. I have just changed my template to Desert Noon and did not notice if this problem started before change.

    Can anyone help please.
    Stephen.

That appears to be the same issue as you were discussing here: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=132677

And, as far as stopping those messages from appearing, you'll have to work with your hosting company to do that, since that's ALL handled by the server. Zen Cart has *no* control over that whatsoever.

Messages of type "info" are not errors or warnings or alerts. They are merely "info".
Presumably the server has been configured to log those kinds of "info" messages for your benefit.
Perhaps the logging is triggered because the UID and GID are not the same? Only your hosting company can confirm that.

A status of "info" is generally something I would ignore unless I've been instructed otherwise.

This is the reply from my hosting company.....

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica] ""Unfortunately, that is part of the standard logging procedure that we can't alter.""[/FONT]

So will have to live with all these messages in my error log.

Many thanks for your help Dr.B
