    Default Setting Product Restrictions

I am trying to figure out how to restrict coupon use on specific products.

I have 30 mfgs. If they have a product they want to offer a coupon for, let's say, $1.00 off, they have been going to Category Restriction setting is for allow, then going to Product Restriction, finding the specific product they only want the coupon to be good for, and choose allow.

In doing this, it also allows the coupon code to work for anyone elses products too.

Do they need to go through all their products except the one they want it good for and choose retrict. Some of my mfgs have hundreds of items. Or would they choose deny in Category Restriction for all the other designers, but then how do they make it specific for only one specific product?

Thanks, any advice would be great!

Let's say you want products_id 32 to be allowed the Discount Coupon ...

    Add the Restrictions for:
    Category ...
    Top DENY

    Product ...
    Product (products_id 32) ALLOW

Now the Discount Coupon is only allowed for the products_id 32 ...

I am not sure by what you mean by denying "TOP." What is TOP? I have been able to set the categories that I am allowing, but do I have to deny something or every other category to have it work properly.

Select the Coupon and on the right panel you will see the button for: RESTRICTIONS

    Click the restricks button ...

First thing you see in the drop down under Categories is:
    TOP

Select DENY ... where you see it says ALLOW ...

    Click ADD ...
