    red flag Customer from France can't checkout - Urgent Please

    So far, this is the only customer we are having problems with.

    No matter how we format his address for his account in the cart, which is exactly what it is for his billing address for his card ... the cart rejects the order with the error of wrong address.

    He is in France. Can someone with a solid knowledge of French addresses please help? He is a jovial customer who is now becoming a bit teed-off, if you know what I mean. He had no problems when we used X-cart, but is having nothing but difficulties with Zencart.

    Zen Cart doesn't reject orders based on addresses. It must be something happening with your payment gateway ... so I suggest contacting *them* for help.

    Again, this has only been with France ... now UPS is not recognizing French addresses.

    Is there anything special we need to be doing to accept French-based orders? Any certain settings, additional mods, etc?

    Dr Byte - thank you for your above answer to my original problem ... the guy never replied back to my inquiries, so I don't know the outcome/reason for his situation.

    I am having this exact problem. Customers from every other country can checkout, but not France. I think it has something to do with the address, there is no city, only a county. Most of the other countries (i.e. Canada, Australia, England) have something similar to a city/province, and a state/country, but not France. Also, the zip code is where the city usually is. I disabled requiring a city in my zen-cart, and that did not work.

    I finally gave up and emailed them a paypal invoice. I do not want paypal on my website, but after this happening twice, I may be forced to add it. Looking at all the trouble people on the forums have with paypal, I expect a nightmare trying to get that to work.

    Edit the Customer Record in your Zen Cart Admin and see if they are setup for France or France, Metropolitan ... if set to France, Metropolitan change it to France ...

    My client was set to France (not France Metropolitan) and still could not check out. I also made the state field not required and that did not help.

    What is the weight and shipping module(s) that you have installed?

    What is the Ship From address?

    I have UPS and USPS shipping modules installed, and authorize.net gateway. I'm not sure what you mean by weight modules.

    On UPS what methods to you have selected?

    On USPS what methods to you have selected?

    What is the Ship From address?
