    Default Could not connect to SMTP host | PLEASE HELP, i've tried EVERYTHING

    i am having a BIG problem with this email confusion.

    First, is Gmail (Google Apps) supported by either cPanel/ZenCart? Am I able to use gmail as my email client? If so, PLEASE tell me how to do this...

    I've already set up my google apps account to use gmail. In the configurations -> email options, i have put in the respective fields:

    * SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com
    * SMTP Port 465 or 587

    From the google email itself (me@mydomain.com) I am able to receive and send out emails. I am assuming it's because the MX configurations are correct. However, the only problem I run in to is actually sending emails from the Zen Cart Admin. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help. I would prefer not to use another client other than gmail.

    Patiently waiting for a reply...

    Yes, I see you've even tried posting the same issue in multiple places: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=138147
    Please don't do that ... it just creates unfinished discussions which are of no value to you or others who might have similar problems and go searching for answers in the future.

    As to your problem, please continue it in your original thread.
