Missing International rates since upgrated to 1.3.8

Hi everyone - hope you can point me to a magic wand as mine was recently misplaced...

Since my recent upgrade to 1.3.8p from 1.3.7 my international USPS options do not show up - people get the message:

The USPS postal servers are currently down.
If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please check back soon and accept our apologies - this is beyond our control

Which is text I added for when the USPS servers will not connect. So for the first day, I thought it was true... now I am not so sure...LOL.

It DOES connect for US folks, so it is not an actual connection error. I am in the US, shipping from the US, and the US rates all work fine. It is only Int'l orders that are giving this error...

what files to troubleshoot/merge/delete/edit??

Did you get the May 2008 USPS update?

It is listed among the Security Patches:

I had it in my 1.3.7 cart, and (silly me) assumed that was rolled into/merged with the patched 1.3.8 'update' version that my host installed.

Headed there now!! will report back :-)

You are most welcome ... thanks for the update that installing the May 2008 USPS update was able to fix your shipping problem with the International shipping ...
