    Default Sending Gift Certificates

    Hi there

I've done a number of searches on the forum and can't see an answer on this one.

Can I send gift certificates to people who don't already have an account on my site?

I've tried it and keep getting an error (Email Error: Could not instantiate mail function. Please check Admin->Configuration->Email Options->Email Transport.), but when I try to my "test" account it goes through fine.

Any help would really be appreciated as I need to send a couple of these out as soon as possible.

    Thanks
    Guy

Ajeh, just done that and it works fine (though it only allows me to select from the drop down list of accounts, there is no field for me to enter another e-mail address).

cheers and thanks for the interest

Are you sending from an email address on your domain or an outside email address?

From an e-mail address on my domain (i.e. guy@ wargames heaven .co .uk).

On the e-mails which fail to send I do get a failure e-mail sent to my account. Curiously (maybe) this message says that there was no recipient address.

    cheers

The addresses I've tried are valid (they are some of my own which I use occasionally).

As a temporary fix I'm going to send vouchers to my test account, then paste the codes in to e-mails from my e-mail account and send them to the indended recipients.

It would still be nice to figure out why this isn't working though.

    cheers
