Problem with Configuration in Admin

I downloaded the most updated version of Zen Cart October 11, 2009.

In the admin section, all selections under the Configuration option do not work. They all draw up blank pages.

By further studying the problem, I see that for example, configuration - shipping/packaging, the one I really need to access, draws up a blank.

I believe there is a problem in the program pointing to the wrong area in my zen files.

Please advise. I would love to be able to input my zip code to fix the sender problem with usps module. I'm almost there.

I would like to also access the configuration files.

I have tried with both firefox and internet explorer and get the same results. In admin, I cannot access any of the configuration options.

NOTE: you may have downloaded it on the 11th ... but it is not date that the current release was made, that is December 11, 2007 ...

You will want to apply the Security Patches at:

You will want to apply the Known Bug Fixes:

The symptoms that you are experiencing, suggest that you have already attempted to install the Security Patches and have perhaps moofed it up a tad ...

You will want to review the installation of the Security Patches, in particular look at the html_output.php files in the:
/includes/functions
/admin/includes/functions

and make sure you did not mix up the files and load them in the wrong place ...

If you have not installed the Security Patches, and when you said "draws a blank" you mean a blank white page ... then you will want to reload your /admin directories and files as something sounds like it is bad, missing or otherwise corrupt ...
