Default Site Map/Page Not Found: Combined [Support Thread]

In an as-distributed Zen Cart installation, the information displayed in the site_map and page_not_found pages is very similar. 99.999% of the time I want to make a small tweak in what's displayed (e.g. adding or removing a page link) and wind up making the same modification to two files.

This plugin consolidates the information displayed by those two pages into a single module, so that any site-specific changes get made in one place. The plugin creates an HTML div named siteMapList or pageNotFoundList, respectively, that contains the list of products and page links for your store. For both pages, that div is created with a class named mapList so that you can easily define some common styling for the two pages.

Note: The page-related links are displayed using the logic present in the v1.5.1 version of tpl_site_map_default.php.

I'll post again when it's available in the Plugins ...

ATSworld, I don't have a site that uses the "default" site_map format to show you but if you have a v1.5.1 (I'm "pretty sure" that it hasn't changed in format since 1.5.0) store, just look at your site_map page and that will tell you how the page_not_found page's format will look.

The key with this plugin is that once you arrive at a format for the site_map page, the exact same format will be used for page_not_found!

I just uploaded v1.1.0 to the plugins area (http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1590) to provide the update required for v1.5.2 (using SSL on the contact_us page link). That change will be applied regardless of the version of Zen Cart that you install to.

I've just submitted v1.2.0 to the plugins for review: https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1590.

This version is compatible with Zen Cart v1.5.0 through v1.5.5 and has been updated to use conditional logic in determining any phpBB link to be output, since v1.5.5 has gone to notifier-only support while prior versions had built-in support.
