I launched a store about 3 months ago and so far we've filled 800 orders with no hiccups thanks to the zen-cart system.
Tonight, I did two things, firstly, I reset the order number id to 900; second, I sent out a mass e-mail to promote a sale.
My e-mails all bounced back saying that my server only permits 500 e-mails to be sent per hour.
An order came in, and it had the new order id number, which meant my order id number reset worked. The newest order picked up at 900 as intended.
After that, I received notifications in my e-mail for payments on paypal, these paypal receipts were for orders from my store! But on my store there are no new orders!
I waited an hour to see if maybe it was just lag, but it seems that now new orders are no longer showing up on the orders page, it's still stuck at order number 900 which came in 4 hours earlier this morning, since then I've had 4 other orders which aren't showing up.
What a headache!
And I can't fulfill the orders i got based on e-mail receipts, because I never received the usual copy of a confirmation receipt with a list of the invoice... (BECAUSE OF MY SURPASSING MY LIMIT ON E-MAILS earlier!...)
Please advise me on what kind of issue this is. Why would my changes have bugged this out?
