Banner stopped working

I had a banner that was working fine, but it seems to have stopped working. I'm using 1.3.8a (with some patches).

I'm not sure when this happened -- I have banner views and clicked from as recently as yesterday -- but the most recent thing I did was update some define pages. And my client activated and updated some products.

I get a blank page from a URL like this:
http://www.whereaboutspress.com/inde...=banner&goto=3

My banner config seems correct. No expiration, no click limits. It is supposed to go to a file I use to redirect to a define page. (It's a long story as to why I did this.)

When I enter the redirect URL directly in the location bar, everything works fine.

So something seems wrong between the banner URL and my redirect page.

Does anyone have any ideas?

You have a lot of links throwing a blank white page ...

Get the Debug Tool from the Free Software Add Ons at the top of the page and see what comes up ...

You also have a constant zenid in the URLs on your site ... this leads me to believe there are problems with how the sessions are managed ...

Peek in your two configure.php files:
/includes/configure.php
/admin/includes/configure.php

where are you storing your sessions and cache?

Try using the Database for those ... does it fix it?

Changing the cache and sessions to 'database' and 'db' did not seem to have any effect. Should I leave these set to the database? My traffic is not huge -- no more than 500 visits/day (usually less).

BUT! The Debug Tools said my headers were getting sent multiple times. So I deleted the final blank lines after "?>" in my extra_datafiles config, and now all works as it should.

(I'm still a little confused about your comment on Zen sessions and static addresses, but I'm ok with not know for now!) :)

Your site appears to be working now ... the zenid is being removed correctly from the URL compared to before where it was always in there ...

I prefer saving to the database and as long as things are running smoothly you should be fine ...
