    Default images links changing

i had a problem with pics being unsecured and found the thread advise to use relative addresses. This worked wonderfully............ Until I had to Reset the database from Admin/Store Manager, now all the links changed from images/filename.jpg to http://domainname.com/admin/images/filename.jpg so I had to redo all the pages with links or added pics.

Is there anyway to prevent this the next time I have to reset the database??????

    I don't understand what you're saying.

Nothing in the Store Manager tool has anything to do with image links.

I set up a few links and images on my website which I was getting an unsecure error which I corrected by using relative links instead of the full path.
From Admin/Tools/Store Manager I got a warning I needed to reset my database. After doing so all the links & pic that I added were changed from " includes/images/filename.jpg to http://your-ehome.com/admin/includes/images/filename
this was done for links and pics so they no longer worked

dont know how else to explain it

There's nothing there that will tell you to reset your database.
There *is* something that may tell you that your Admin Activity Log is over 2 months old or over a certain number of records, and tell you to purge it.

But doing that sort of purge of the admin activity log ONLY touches the admin_activity_log table. It has NOTHING to do with anything else like product or image data.

So, whatever problem you've got must be related to something else.

I believe I had the same issue. Not only did it affect the image links I also had some links to other site pages in the conditions and privacy pages that it also affected. Don't know how I did it or what may have happened. I accidentally found out when I clicked on the properties of the images and also viewed the source of the page did I see references to my renamed admin folder - freaked me out.

I have been trying ever since to set up relative links in both html editor and now trying FCKeditor and still can't seem to get them to recognize the links I am trying to write. It appears they want to write an absolute link.

Since I am new at this I am sure I am not writing them correctly or sending the link to look at the wrong directory.
