Which file allows you edit the main page ?

I'm using Firebug to check/tweak my site on the fly, but how do I find the file in the ftp, where I can finally make the change ? Whats the main page called ? is it .php file of .html file ?
Firebug should tell you the exact filename of the page your editing too. That would make it simple.

The quickest way to edit the main page is to go in the Admin >> Tools >> Define Pages Editor.

I see but noo. That doesn't have what I'm looking for. If you go to a regular zencart page in IE and right-click then go to VIEW SOURCE it shows you. That code is what I'm talking about. How do I get to that stuff ?

Can you be a little more specific about what you want to change? If you view the source, you're seeing the html generated by the php, but that's not what you edit to make changes.

I see. What I'm trying to find is a sidebox. Which is banner_box.php. Found it. But whats there is all if statements that I dont care for right now... I want to remove a banner in the side box and put in html.
