Master Password

I had this same issue and installed Encrypted Master Password.

Even tho the Master Password still shows in the Configuration>My Store view, it isn't what works.. what works is the fact that the header_php.php file in the login folder is looking for the admin password.

The good thing about having both mods installed, however, is the ability to SEE what the password setting is under Configuration>My Store. If you set that to match your master admin password then you never have to remember what that was. You can just go take a peek under My Store.

I've tried to use Encrypted Master password with zen cart 1.3.9 by adding the code snippet from the download into includes/modules/pages/login/header_php.php


It doesn't let me login to a user account.
Is there something else I should do?

I got it working by by adding the original master password.

Thank you for these threads, I was also able to fix a master password issue on one of my websites. The issue was related to a recent upgrade that had overwritten the password functions file. I uploaded a clean copy of the password functions file and repaired the issue.

Just because it took me so many months to figure this out, I will post what worked for us. I am associated with the poster Isaac2. I am not versed in ZenCart so stepped into this as a complete inexperienced newbie. Our problem was 1) header_php.php was messed up, discovered that through winmerge comparison, 2) there are more than one admin accounts in our store so the admin number(s) had to be designated in the header_php.php file, 3) and despite what people said about not having the admin and master passwords match, we had to make one of the admin passwords and master password match.

I'm happy to say though that we finally got it.
