Installing Connect Problem

I’m a new user trying to install. On “Database Setup”page my answer to prompts are:

Database Type: SQL
Database Host: localhost
Database Username: designs1
Database Password: *********
Database Name: zeb_designs

Then when I click on “Save Database Settings” I get “Connection to Database failed “.

I’ve even tried this “creatingneedles.ipowermysql.com” for the Database Host, nothing seems to work.

Many shared hosts prepend the CPanel user name to the database name, so if you create a DB called zencart, and your CPanel user name is 'foobar' the DB name Zencart needs is foobar_zencart.
