    Default admin error message require(includes/application_top.php)

    Hi

i installed zen cart today. When i wanted to go to my admin i get this error message.

Warning: require(includes/application_top.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/content/m/i/t/mitdrissia/html/_sites/domain/admin/index.php on line 23

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/application_top.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php') in /home/content/m/i/t/mitdrissia/html/_sites/domain/admin/index.php on line 23

I tried to chmod includes/application_top.php to any number but it still did not work.
    Can you help me out?

There are two "application_top" files as shown below.

    • /admin/includes/application_top.php
    • /includes/application_top.php

Make sure you are changing the "/admin" one as that's what your error message seems to indicate.

If that still does not work, check whether it could be caused by a unintentionally misconfigured .htaccess file.

Glad you got things to work.

For the "admin" directory, chmod 755.
For the "application_top" file, chmod 644.
