Choosing two shipping options during checkout

Here is my problem:

I have four different shipping options with different prices (regular, express etc) but I want to be able to upgrade those to registered/insured post.

I don't want to add another four options with the extra $2.50 added because that would be too confusing but is there a way that customers can select 1 x regular post and select a second option of 1 x registered post fee and it will add the two shipping prices $5.70 & $2.50 together?
