Adding to the main page?

On my index page, I'd like to have the define_main_page text, then my categories, and then another section of text below that.

I played with it a little today by trying to call a second page I added to the Define Pages Editor from tpl_index_categories.php, but I didn't have any luck getting it to show up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This post should be your answer. It installed easily and works perfectly.
It will split your main page so that you have text, your featured or new products, then more text.
