locked out of admin

This happened yesterday after trying to install an addon. Now I can't get into my admin. I have tried EVERYTHING. Cleared cookies, cleared cache, tried to restore from a backup, tried using the password in Phpmyadmin, tried changing that password, tried creating a new admin acct, nothing works. I'm at my wits end.

I'm not sure if this would do it, I made a change to the .htaccess file per the instructions in the add on. I THOUGHT I saved the original file, but...either I didn't or I dunno what happened to it. Would changing that file cause this problem? If so, if I post what I have in there can someone tell me if there's something wrong with it?

Do you have a database backup from before the addon? You could restore via phpMyAdmin ...

Temporarily disable the htaccess file and see what happens

That did it, I can get back in again. Thanks so much, schoolboy. I had a feeling the .htaccess was the culprit, I just didn't know what to do about it!
