hi, all
my website offers free shipping for total order higher than $300.
But there is 1 item, it's heavy and cheap.
I want this item ALWAYS 'not free shipping'
What can I do? Thank you!!

What shipping module(s) do you currently use?
Are any of your Products setup where 0 weight means Free Shipping or marked as Always Free Shipping?
What happens if I have $300+ in the order plus this 1 item that is never Free Shipping? Are the other products still Free Shipping?

The easiest solution would be to use Advanced Shipper which allows you to set up anything from a single item at a single rate shipped to a single postcode to a flat rate for the whole planet!
It's not free (available from ceon.net) but what you spend in $$ will save you $$$ in time and frustration

Thank you for reply!
1. I only use UPS shipping module now.
2. No items are 0 weight.
3. No items are marked as always free shipping.
4. If client has $300+ order,
plus this never free shipping item (heavy cable at this case). The shipping fee will be only for this heavy cable.
Thank you for helping me out.
Any idea about my problem?
any modify can make a single item with NO free shipping?
thanks
What is the weight of this item that is Never Free Shipping?
What are your Shipping/Packaging setting?

Thank you for your reply.
1. This never free shipping is about 25 lb, but it's cheap. Other selling products have higher cost proportion. For example, one product is 100 lb, but it has higher value.
2. I couldn't find any necessary changes in shipping/packaging category.
3. Is there any add-on button, then I can set this item be never free shipping ?
Thank You.
Okay, so you have these 2 products that are Never Free Shipping ... but everything else is Free Shipping IF the order is over $300 ...
Next questions is, does the Product Price of these 2 products go towards the $300 for Free Shipping of the rest of the order?

Thank you for your reply.
It won't be free shipping for this item, regardless others.
Let's say:
- This item is 25 lb, and it's $60, no free shipping.
- Client bought 10 units, total cost $600, still no free shipping.
- Client bought others + this item = total cost $300, only free shipping for others, have to pay shipping for this item
Is there a way (modify the code) to give it a fix shipping fee or just let this item never free shipping?
Thank you.
Is the shipping of $60 a fixed amount for this 1 item?
And is that per quantity or just $60 if in the cart?
