I read (on some forum posts that also came up in my Google search) that 5.1 versions have bugs.

    I'm so confused.....

    Hi Housefull,
I set WAMP up using the older version but I also installed the newer 5.3 and all is working fine with the patch installed on a widows 7 machine. If the patch is not installed correctly then you WILL have problems. It is not complicated to install the patch. But if you are new to all of this and you are setting up a test shop on your home machine then please do install all of the patches for 1.3.8a at http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=131115 before you do anything else. Its time for bed this side of the mud ball so night all.

    Hi Mooonlight,

Just before I go asleep, with regard to the version of MySQL if you click on the wamp server icon in the system tray and go to the WAMP server icon then select the MySQL icon then version and click on the 'get more' option, this will bring you to the WAMP web site where you can download the latest version of MySQL which is 5.1.41 and then install it and select it and restart the server. Voila all done. If you have any difficulties with it PM me and I will do my best to help.
    Rottie.
