Default Making my store site the "Home Page"

Right now I have Zen Cart installed and running successfully in the following directory structure.

    www.piquet.com/store

But I have had to create an index.html to act as a temporary page in order to get to the store. If you go to www.piquet.com you wiull see what I mean.

How do I access the www.piquet.com/store/index.php right from the get go?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Jeff

Move Zen Cart to the root directory and get rid of the index.html

I am just not clear on this... my session directory is

    /homepages/43/d310114785/htdocs/cache

    My site resides in www.piquet.com/store

If I move the entire Zen Cart file structure to the public_html folder what do I change the sessions directory to?

I am not clear on the path that I need to use.

    Thanks again

I'm not sure why you chose to mention your session directory specifically, because there are several other directorys on the same 'level' as this one.

OK, the first thing to note is that the "public_html" directory may not actually exist on your system. From the path you gave, *your* document root resides at "htdocs" rather than "public_html", so this is where you need to be placing your zencart files. (Other sites will call this directory simply "www")

Correctly placed, your zencart installation will look something like

    /homepages/43/d310114785/htdocs/admin/
    /homepages/43/d310114785/htdocs/cache/
    /homepages/43/d310114785/htdocs/includes/
    /homepages/43/d310114785/htdocs/images/
    /homepages/43/d310114785/htdocs/index.php
    etc, etc, etc

With the zencart files placed as above, your store URL will be simply
    www.piquet.com

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers
    Rod

I am still unsure of the process. If I drag and drop the entire car into the WWW folder what will I need to change so that the site works? I looked at the tutorial but it is unclear as far as I am concerned.

    Thanks

Edit the 2 configure.php files and remove all pointing to /store

Is it as easy as searching for "/store" in each of the files and deleting?

    Thanks

Yes, just be careful that you leave what is supposed to be there

    i.e. /store/admin/ becomes /admin/ and not admin/ or /admin
Same with others - comments define what should be there
