How would I track free shipping costs?

If I offer free shipping, I would still like to be able to track the actual costs I pay, and possibly get a report of those totals. thanks!

Would have to be done outside the zencart system

There is no CORE behaviour that can be configured.

If you would like it to be part of your ZC setup, then someone (you, perhaps) will need to construct a module that handles this information.
