help question XML slider on homepage using iFrame

Hello, I'm quite new to zen cart, we have just begun using it for our store. We would like to place an xml slider on our homepage, and i was wondering if we had to use an iframe, and if we needed to use the 'override' system to insert it. I know in Joomla, unless you modify parameters, you cannot place iframes or certain pieces of code. Thanks for any help in this!

I am embarrassed to admit it, but I sometimes use IFRAME on certain pages.

If these are basically "html" pages then it should present no problems, but be careful of using IFRAME elsewhere... Most payment gateways will not process orders if it comes out of an embedded IFRAME.

    Try it out...

Open the DEFINE PAGES EDITOR (under tools) and open up the define_main_page.php

If you are using the embedded HTMLArea editor, DISABLE IT, or toggle to html source (<> symbol).

    PASTE your IFRAME code

DO NOT revert to HTMLArea - just save the file.

(These little HTML editors will attempt to interpret and modify inserted HTML elements... that's why you work in pure code mode for these exercises)

Check your home page to see the result.
