Allow checkout without payment

Hey guys, this is my first Zen Cart install. I'm getting close to finished, but I would like to set up checkout so that once a customer goes to checkout and fills in their contact info and address, they skip the payment process and they are "checked out". Then an email is sent to me with the products they purchased and the price, as well as all their contact info/address.

The reason for all this nonsense is that this an internal "promo" items store for a company, and the employees who will be shopping here will be allotted a yearly budget -- so they won't actually "pay" anything.

Please note that I DO NOT need to keep track of the employee's budget on Zen Cart; that will be done by someone else. All I need is an option to check out without payment (actually, that needs to be the only option). When I turn off all payment options in admin, it say "we're sorry, payment is not accepted in your region" or something of the like.

I'm fairly familiar with PHP, and I realize I might have to do this by hand. Any suggestions?? Thanks so much!!

Take a look at the money order or COD modules. Both allow checkout without making a payment. Cloning either and changing the terminology used will hopefully achieve what you want.

Wow, quick reply. Excellent idea sir, thank you! Will I find that stuff in the 'modules' folder, and would you happen to know the name of the payment module(s)? If this requires you to dig, don't worry about it -- I'm sure I can find it if you don't know off the top of your head. Thanks again!

you will find them in includes/modules/payment/cod.php or
includes/modules/payment/moneyorder.php
