Payment not getting transferred to PayPal Page from cart

Hi,

I have integrated PayPal Web Payment system through my PayPal business account. However, during the testing I found that once I select the payment option as PayPal and go to the PayPal gateway that the amount and the item name etc does not get transferred to the PayPal page. The PayPal landing pages asks the user to update the item price so that it would calculate the price.

Lastly, I am trying to run this cart in India. Payment is being made in Indian Rupees that needs to get converted to the USD on PayPal. The configuration for this is already done on the Shipping Module (default is USD to convert)

Need help please.

The Website Payments Standard method has some limitations. You should use Express Checkout instead.

Just needed to know, do I need to do some PayPal coding into Zen Cart or just an integration through Payment Module would be enough. From what I remember, my last website where I used to get payment through PayPal, I had to copy and paste the code from PayPal to the HTML website.

You don't need to code anything - just turn the module on in your admin and follow the instructions for configuring it.

Did everything as instructed both at PayPal as well at Zen Cart Admin. Thankfully for the Express Checkout button, radio button at payment page enabled. But when trying to Confirm Payment, I am taken back again to Step 1 of 3 with this error message.

"An error occurred when we tried to contact the payment processor. Please try again, select an alternate payment method, or contact the store owner for assistance. (10401) 10401 Transaction refused because of an invalid argument. See additional error messages for details. - Order total is invalid."

Probably this is the last step, if helped with this I would be through.

10401 means "order total invalid", which could very well be a result of improperly configured exchange rates between your default currency and USD. And that's also likely the cause of the problems you initially reported, as well.
