Editable Home Page Centerboxes [Support]

Description

Editable Centerboxes is a simple module which adds three editable content boxes to the home page. I got the idea because I was trying to do something similar to this:

Each centerbox has an associated defined page which can be edited using the defined pages editor.

Ready to get started? Just follow the installation instructions below: Note that the module only makes small changes to one pre-existing files!

I'm submitting this to the downloads section tonight. You'll find it there when it's activated.

Your questions have nothing to do with the Editable Centerboxes mod; you should ask them in a new thread to keep information in relevant compartments. I'm sure some people will find and answer a thread that has a meaningful title.

By the way, I checked, and you are asking about one of the Template Monster templates Diva referenced; those are commercial templates, and their code or information about them will not be available anywhere in the Zen Cart support forum. There are other javascript sliders available in Plugins.

I have recently added this module into one site and all is fine - in a second site I cannot upload the install_middleboxes.sql file - I simply get a page saying "WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again. " - this happens whether I use the browse or actually copy and paste the file. I have tried it about 7 times so far with no success. I even re uploaded the install files a second time in case a file was missed.

These errors don't help indicate why the SQL script failed.. they instead tell us that the home page doesn't load since these constants are missing. They are missing because the SQL failed to load (and without an error related to the failed SQL load, it's hard to say why it failed).. Suggest running rolling back and starting over.. rolling back means take the site back to the way it was BEFORE installing.. Remove the files.. run the uninstall or even better, restore form the backup I hope you made before installing..

So is there any way to load the sql file other than via the admin? is there a way that any old version in the database can be deleted or overwritten? I am using this mod on a couple of other sites and it is beneficial and I want to use it on both of the two sites not accepting the sql file.

the warning comes with an ERROR LOG.. Why don't you post the contents of that error log so we can get to the ACTUAL root of the issue versus assuming that running the SQL in a different manner will yield a different result..
