help question view rather than downlaod video

I have embedded a video into an .html page... and when a customer purchases the video the "download" link goes to the .html page.

When the customer clicks on "download" he is given the option to "open" or "Save" the file (html file).
I ONLY want the customer to be able to open the (html) file not save it.

Is there some configuration setting that is enableing this "Save" option.????

Zen cart 1.38A, appropritate attributes are set up to set the "download" file to the html page (url).

There is no really reliable way to keep folks from keeping a copy of video. If they can display it, they can save it. You can use tricks to make it more difficult, but these are easily bypassed by someone who wants the video. There are even plugins now for Firefox that make this a no-brainer.

Yeah, I understand that (people can copy a video from their browser).

The issue I'm having is that when the buyer clicks on the download button which is supposed to direct them to the .html file/web page to view the embedded video - a pop-up appears asking if they want to "open" or "save" the file.

What I want to happen is when the buyer click on the download button... their browser opens a window (the same or new window) that displays the .html page (which has the embedded video). I do not want that "open" or "download" pop-up to appear.

    Hey Roland

Did you have any luck solving this one? I'm trying to do the same thing - have video streaming to the website rather than it being offered as a download.

I'm no techie, but I would have thought this should be reasonably simple. I also am worried about content being stolen, but the whole security thing is a bit too much for a noob like me at the moment!

    Thanks
    Brett
