Default Re: how to tell ZC how many units in stock?

Thank you, Frank. That did seem to do the trick. Can you please explain what those fields mean, though? I assume the first two are the mininum/maximum a customer is permitted to order. What are the others?

And, while this is a bit off-subject, can ANYONE tell me why my update button is dead? I posted this in another thread, but didn't get any replies. Once I have this out of the way, I think I'm ready to move on to shipping, so I'd really like to resolve this one.

    Product Qty Minimum
Indicates the minimum number of items of a product a customer must buy. It is also commonly known as the “minimum order quantity” in layman terms.

    Product Qty Maximum
Indicates the maximum number of items of a product a customer is allowed to buy.

    Product Qty Units
This option limits customers to purchasing in fixed quantities. For example, if you
specify the value to be 5, then customers can only order in quantities of 5, 10, 15, etc.

    Products Quantity
Indicates the amount of stock you have for the particular product. If you do not specify
a value, it defaults to 0.

This is straight from the manual (pages 170-172) . Worth buying - link here: http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=16

Thanks, Frank. I can see that I need to invest in a manual. What about that "Product Qty Min/Unit Mix" field -- what does that do?

And...I'm still begging for help on my dead update button...

    A related question here -
What about setting inventory when a product has two sizes? How can I differentiate inventory counts between a 9 oz. jam and a 16 oz. jam when the product is using a drop-down selector for the customer to choose the size?
